Product description
Plate spreading magnets are used for separating stacked iron and steel sheets. The spreading magnets are mounted on the side of the stack of sheets, they magnetize the sheets with the same poles, which makes them repel each other. Plate spreading magnets are used both in automated equipment, where plates are handled by vacuum or magnetically, and in manual workplaces, where their help makes gripping of plates much easier. Our sheet spreading magnets consist of a reinforced magnet system built into a sturdy sheet steel housing. The front plate is made of stainless steel. Mounting holes are provided on the rear side.
Switchable spreading solenoids
Especially in automated applications, it is required that spreading solenoids must be switchable. For this purpose, the standard solenoids are installed in stainless steel housings and tilted inside the housing with pneumatic or hydraulic drive elements.
Selection criteria
- Plate thickness / magnet dimension according to table
- The spreading magnets should have about 3 times the length of the sheet stack height
- Per spreading magnet approx. 30dm2 of plate area can be spread, with very oily plates only approx. 15dm2, then several magnets are needed
